About the Calendar
The Sun + Moon Calendar aims to help you align your daily life in the modern world with the shifting astrological energies that surround us.
The calendar is set out in lunar months. The cycle of the Sun and Moon was recognised and used as a timing guide by indigenous cultures all over the world, including by our ancestors in Aotearoa, Australia and those in pre-industrial Europe. Many of us hope to see a return to more natural and earth-connected ways of living. Using lunar calendars again could be part of that change.
The calendar also includes the planets in the solar system. The slow-moving outer planets are very active this year, influencing great waves of change for the world and for our personal lives.
I hope this calendar can help you understand some of that energy and therefore ride the waves with more confidence.

If your birthday doesn’t appear within the lunar month named after your sign:
The Sun moves into a sign before the lunar month named after that sign begins. For example, if you are an Aquarius born between 20 Jan and 17 Feb, this year your birthday falls in the lunar month of Capricorn. The Sun moves into Aquarius a few weeks before the Moon meets up with it to form the New Moon and the start of the Aquarius lunar month.
Don’t worry, you are still an Aquarius, or, in other words, you still have Aquarius as your Sun sign.
